NSW:Man charged over stolen cheques: Police
A man's been charged after allegedly cashing stolen cheques totalling more than 60
thousand dollars.
He's accused of opening numerous bank accounts between January and December last year
.. depositing cheques stolen from mail and altered in his favour .. then withdrawing the
money.
The 19-year-old Indonesian national was arrested by federal police at Sydney Airport yesterday.
He'll face Waverley Local Court today on 71 counts of knowingly dealing with the proceeds
of crime with the intention to conceal.
